[^1] The effects of Trauma can be pervasive, intense and debilitating. When suffering is intense, this can drive someone to search endlessly for what is innately and inherently wrong, broken and defective in them, as my suffering did for me—particularly in regard to my health. When the endless search becomes inevitably frustrating and circular (see [[The issue of misdiagnosis]]), this can open up a powerful space for acceptance, letting go and surrender. It is in this space that Trauma can catalyse spiritual awakening and act as the impetus for one's unfoldment, growth and evolution. It doesn't take place through means of simply wanting or trying to awaken—it takes place out of pure necessity. --- **➡️ Next:** [[]] --- **See Also:** - Complex Trauma: [[The issue of misdiagnosis]] [^1]: [[Nondual Therapy by Georgi Y.
